Ann Cleare is an Irish composer of contemporary concert music. Her work explores spectral sound, physical phenomena, and the relationship between music and natural processes. She studied at the Royal Irish Academy of Music and has had her works performed by leading new-music ensembles. Her piece *on magnetic fields* features in the Berg Orchestra programme.
