Antonín Kohout was a Czech violinist and pedagogue, a member of the Smetana Quartet, one of the most prominent Czech string quartets of the 20th century. He served as a professor at the Prague Academy of Music (AMU), where in 1989 he co-founded the Škampa Quartet together with Milan Škampa.
