Anya Sokolović is a Serbian-Canadian composer of contemporary classical music. Born in Serbia, she is based in Canada and teaches composition at the Université de Montréal. Her work blends Balkan rhythmic traditions with modern compositional language. She is the composer of the opera Klaun(i), drawing inspiration from Maurice Sand and Federico Fellini.
