Ástor Piazzolla was an Argentine composer and bandoneon player who transformed traditional tango by fusing it with classical music and jazz, creating the genre known as nuevo tango. His works, including Libertango and Las Cuatro Estaciones Porteñas, brought tango to concert halls worldwide.
