Bolek Polívka is a Czech actor, comedian and theatre creator, one of the most distinctive figures of Czech alternative theatre. He rose to fame through his work with the Divadlo na provázku theatre in Brno and his own authored projects blending humour, grotesque and poetry. He is also known internationally as a film actor, notably for his role in the Oscar-winning film Kolja.
