Carla Simón is a Spanish film director and screenwriter. She gained international recognition with her debut feature Estiu 1993 (Summer 1993), winner of the Crystal Bear at the Berlinale. Her second feature Alcarràs (2022) won the Golden Bear at the Berlinale. Her film Romería (2025) competed in the Main Competition at Cannes.
