Death was an American death metal band from Orlando, Florida, founded in 1983 by guitarist and vocalist Chuck Schuldiner. Widely regarded as one of the pioneers of the death metal genre, the band released influential albums such as Scream Bloody Gore (1987) and Human (1991). Chuck Schuldiner passed away in 2001, leaving behind a defining legacy in extreme metal.
