Gonçalo Almeida is a Portuguese double bassist and electronic musician working in the fields of improvised and electroacoustic music. He is a core member of the trio The Selva, where he combines double bass with electronics to explore the tension between acoustic sound and electronic manipulation. He is active in the international experimental music scene.
