Hugo Haas

About

Hugo Haas (1901–1968) was a Czech actor, director, and screenwriter. Before World War II he was a prominent figure in Czechoslovak film and theatre; after emigrating to the United States he carved out a Hollywood career acting in and directing a series of low-budget film noir pictures. He was the brother of composer Pavel Haas.
