Jan Křtitel Vaňhal (1739–1813) was a Czech composer of the Classical era who spent most of his career in Vienna. He was a contemporary and acquaintance of Haydn and Mozart, and was highly regarded in his time. His large output includes symphonies, chamber music, and sacred works, though he fell into obscurity after his death.
