Jaroslav Hašek

Jaroslav Hašek (1883–1923) was a Czech writer and humorist best known for his unfinished satirical novel The Good Soldier Švejk. He spent much of his turbulent life in the Žižkov district of Prague, where a monument to him stands on Prokopovo náměstí.
