Jiří Šlitra

Jiří Šlitra (1924–1969) was a Czech musician, composer, actor and visual artist. Together with Jiří Suchý he co-founded the Semafor theatre in Prague, where the two formed a celebrated creative duo. His songs, blending swing with poetic wit, are icons of Czech popular music from the 1960s.
