John Patrick was an American playwright and screenwriter active primarily in the 20th century. He is best known for light comedies for the stage, including the ghost comedy "Everybody Loves Opal," widely performed in European theatres in translation. He also won a Pulitzer Prize for his play "The Teahouse of the August Moon" (1954).
