Josef Václav Myslbek (1848–1922) was a prominent Czech sculptor, regarded as the founder of modern Czech sculpture. He is best known for the monumental equestrian statue of Saint Wenceslas on Wenceslas Square in Prague. His works also adorn numerous Prague cemeteries and public spaces.
