Karel Svoboda (1938–2007) was a Czech composer best known for his film and musical scores. He wrote the music for the beloved fairy-tale film Tři oříšky pro Popelku (Three Wishes for Cinderella) and the hugely popular Czech musical Drákula. His melodies rank among the most recognisable in 20th-century Czech popular music.
