Maria Bartuszová (1936–1996) was a Slovak sculptor born in Prague who spent most of her career in Košice. She developed a distinctive sculptural language through experimental techniques such as gravity-driven casting into inflated forms, producing organic, biomorphic works. Her art gained international recognition, including a major retrospective at Tate Modern in London.
