My Bloody Valentine is an Irish-British shoegaze band whose 1991 album Loveless is widely regarded as a defining record of the genre. Known for dense walls of distorted guitar and hushed, ethereal vocals, the group became a major influence on alternative and noise rock. They reunited in 2008 after a long hiatus and released m b v in 2013.
