Nikolai Rimsky-Korsakov (1844–1908) was a Russian composer and conductor, and a member of the group known as "The Five". He is celebrated for his vivid orchestral works such as Scheherazade and the Spanish Capriccio op. 34, as well as for operas including The Golden Cockerel.
