Nikolai Rimsky-Korsakov (1844–1908) was a Russian composer and conductor, and a member of the group known as "The Mighty Five". He is celebrated for his vivid orchestral works such as Scheherazade and the Spanish Capriccio op. 34, as well as operas including The Golden Cockerel.
