Václav IV (1361–1419) was King of Bohemia and King of the Romans, son of Charles IV and member of the Luxembourg dynasty. His reign was marked by political turmoil, the early Hussite movement, and the Great Schism. He is also remembered as a patron of the arts and collector of manuscripts, most notably the richly illuminated Wenceslas Bible.
