Rose Petals - MAOK and Martina Viktorie Kopecká

A concert by MAOK and a reading from the Song of Songs performed by Martina Viktorie Kopecká at the Church of St. Simon and Jude in Prague. Ancient love verses from the biblical Song of Songs will resound alongside the live music of Slovak musician, improviser, and multi-instrumentalist MAOK, whose dreamy and mystically-tinged compositions express the full spectrum of the deepest feelings and moods. MAOK is also a film composer (the film "Bathory" by Juraj Jakubisko, the film "Civilization" by Petr Horký and Miroslav Bárta). Martina Viktorie Kopecká is a pastor, author of the book and blog "A Pastor's Diary", television presenter, and finalist of the StarDance competition.

The programme combines the recitation of biblical text with a live musical performance. The church tends to be cool - it is recommended to bring a sweater and a blanket. Mobile phones cannot be used in the hall. After the performance begins, entry to the hall is not permitted.
