Wine Tasting on Podluží
Tvrdonice a Kostice, Tvrdonice
The villages of Tvrdonice and Kostice lie in the heart of Podluží in the Slovak wine-growing sub-region. Although not among the largest wine-producing areas, local wines achieve excellent quality, as evidenced by their success at domestic and international exhibitions. The event takes place annually on a Saturday in May from 10 to 19 o'clock. Approximately 18 small and professional winemakers from both villages will open their cellars, including wines with BIO certification. At the event you can also taste local specialities, roasted coffee, beer from Slovakia, or delicacies from Calabria. Musical accompaniment is provided by cimbalom music and other live performances. The ticket includes tasting of offered samples, a wine glass, a glass holder, a catalogue, horse-drawn carriage rides, minibus transport, cimbalom music, and vouchers worth 490 CZK in blocks for wine tasting. Tickets are available in advance at a discounted price on smsticket.cz. The organizer is the Tvrdonice branch of the Czech Wine Association in cooperation with the municipalities of Tvrdonice and Kostice.
