The Moravia Brass Band opens its new concert season each autumn with a festive Gala Concert. The 2026 edition takes place on October 25 at SONO Centre in Brno — for the first time in this new venue.

The evening's star guest is trombonist Joseph Alessi, principal trombone of the New York Philharmonic. Conducted by Chuhei Iwasaki.

The programme features works from the international brass repertoire, new arrangements for brass band, and pieces for solo trombone and orchestra.

About the venue: Sono Music Club

Sono Music Club is part of the multi-purpose Sono Centrum on Veveří street in Brno, opened in 2016. The three-floor hall features two large balconies, four bars and a spacious stage suitable for major bands and orchestras. Operated by Sono Records, the venue hosts concerts, theatre and film performances, dance nights, festivals and TV broadcasts. The distinctive glass building with a central sphere was designed by architect František Šmédek.
