Ivan Hlas Trio takes the stage on Tuesday, 6 October 2026 at Měšťanská beseda in Plzeň. This is one of two Czech dates on the tour of singer-songwriter Ivan Hlas, who returns with his chamber ensemble after a May performance in Kladno. The trio features guitarist Norbi Kovács and cellist Jaroslav Olin Nejezchleba. Měšťanská beseda, a Neo-Renaissance building with Art Nouveau decoration built in 1901, stands as one of Plzeň's most significant cultural venues. The music draws from pub blues, urban ballads and rock and roll, balancing instrumental arrangements with poetic lyrics.

About the venue: Měšťanská beseda

Měšťanská beseda is a Neo-Renaissance building with Art Nouveau décor, erected by the Pilsen citizens' association in 1901 and ceremonially opened on 29 December of that year. Following an extensive renovation completed in 2005, it serves as one of the most important cultural centres in Pilsen. The venue houses several halls and salons, the Beseda Cinema, the Jonáš Theatre and an Art Nouveau café, with a total capacity of over 1,000 persons. Concerts, theatre performances, balls, film screenings, festivals, lectures and children's events take place here almost daily. The building is a listed cultural monument and received the Building of the Year 2005 award.
