Gallery Day: More Than an Exhibition

took place · 23 May 2026

Atrium Žižkov, Prague

Description was written before the event

An afternoon inspired by the publication "Why 27 Seconds Is Not Enough?" presents the gallery in Atrium Žižkov through diverse formats and seeks an answer to the question of whether a genuine artistic experience is possible in today's accelerated world in just "27 seconds". The curated programme builds on the exhibition "Tourism: Our Luxury, Our Suffering".

Programme

- 15:00–16:30 | "Public Space Is Us" – a performative audio walk with Markéta Kinterová. Through headphones and your own body, you will embark on a route where different layers of urban life intertwine – from subtle details to clashes between public and private. Starting at the Atrium. Advance booking required (to ensure headphones are available).
- 15:00–17:30 | Open educational workshop connected to the exhibition.
- 16:30–17:00 | Guided tour of the exhibition "Tourism: Our Luxury, Our Suffering" with curator Ondřej Horák.
- 18:00–20:30 | Ambient concert "Hearing the City Sing, Hearing the City Scream" – Sara Pinheiro, Cera Krisanaa and Marie Čtveráčková.
