A man is born with a deficit of 0.5 ‰ alcohol in his blood. It's time to fix that. A cruel Nordic comedy in which people eventually dance... but at what price?!
Four high school teachers – of history, music, physical education, and psychology – have long abandoned their life goals and dreams, surviving in the monotonous stereotype of daily obligations. At the 40th birthday celebration of the youngest among them, they learn about the theory of a Norwegian philosopher: a person is supposedly born with a deficit of half a permille of alcohol in their blood, and if they supplement it, they will be more confident, creative, and content.
The quartet – Martin, Nikolaj, Peter, and Tommy – decides to test the theory in practice. After all, Churchill, Hemingway, Bukowski, and many others had alcohol in their blood almost constantly. They buy alcohol and breathalyzers, and the experiment can begin. It seems the theory works – so why not increase the doses? And what comes after the so-called "ignition"?
