A documentary film follows the married couple Diana and Tomáš, who have lived together for several years and have two young sons. Infidelity enters their relationship, bringing with it secrets, mistrust, and lies. In the ensuing crisis, both acknowledge their mutual failures, opening space for communication on a different level—exploring deeper motivations and stories from childhood and the wider family. In a certain euphoria from the partially opened way out of the crisis, they decide to open their relationship, only to gradually discover that mistrust cannot be shed as easily as it seems.

The film tracks their efforts in meticulous detail and with emotional depth, as they try to navigate the situation, not betray their love, and at the same time consider the children, who are necessarily part of everything that unfolds. It also portrays the family background from which the protagonists emerged, and raises questions about whether it is possible to live differently and avoid family traumas that are unconsciously passed down across generations.

Thus the film evolves into a reflection on how only breaking the cycle of fear and lies at the personal and intimate level can be the foundation of a healthy and open society.
