In 2020, the Hungarian independent media outlet Index.hu falls under the control of people loyal to Prime Minister Viktor Orbán. Journalists protest, resign, and attempt to establish a new media outlet, but their efforts to defend independent journalism collide with the complex web of an authoritarian regime.

This investigative documentary maps this process through the testimonies of former employees and reveals that the destruction of independent media is not a local issue, but a broader societal problem of the contemporary world.
