A staged conversation with Didier Eribon, a megastar of the European intellectual scene and sociologist. What is it like to grow up in a working-class neighbourhood in a provincial town, and as a gay man? What does class origin have to do with love?
These reflections on contemporary distrust in intellectual and political elites, the rise of right-wing extremism, and the role of the working and middle classes interweave with personal memories of coming of age in Reims – and also in Olomouc.
The performance is a rollicking comedy with melancholic elements. And perhaps a socially excluded person will show up too.
