ECSTATIC DANCE PRAGUE #170 - DJ Maisha Cobra (Brazil)

Ecstatic Dance Prague #170 – the 170th edition of the regular dance series – takes place on Friday, May 22, 2026 at Žižkostel (Barikád Square 1520/1, Prague 3). The musical set is provided by DJ Maisha Cobra, a Brazilian DJ and dancer who has lived in the Czech Republic for 12 years. Since childhood, she has been guided by Afro-Brazilian culture and music; her life philosophy is that everyone has a natural rhythm within them and all bodies should dance. Through her music, she connects Afro-Brazilian roots with organic tribal and house sound, creating a safe space for free being and expression.

Žižkostel offers a main dance hall with an excellent sound system and a lower hall where you can have cacao or meet other participants. After the event, the café in Žižkostel is usually open.

Schedule: 18:30 space opening, 19:15–19:30 warm up, 19:30–21:30 ecstatic dance set by DJ Maisha Cobra, 21:30–21:45 circle closing, 21:45–22:30 free socializing.

Rules: no talking while dancing, the space is alcohol- and drug-free, no photography or filming, dancing is barefoot. Capacity is limited to 150 people; 100 tickets are available in online pre-sale. Pre-sale tickets are non-refundable but can be transferred to another name.

The Ecstatic Dance Prague project was founded in 2019 by Ondřej, who previously visited ecstatic dance communities on Bali, in Thailand, the Netherlands, Canada, and Ibiza. In 2025, the project was attended by more than 3,500 people.
