This evening is part of Jazz Černošice 2026 – 21st edition of the traditional international jazz festival, running from 14 to 24 May 2026 at various venues in Černošice near Prague. Friday evening, 22 May at Club Kino (starting 19:00) features three performances.
Šavle meče – Tribute to Jirka Hala and Honza Šatra
Šavle meče is an original Czech musical ensemble playing an energetic mix of rock, jazz, funk and blues. This "funky mini big band" is known for combining rock rhythm with a five-piece jazz brass section and studio musicians. The band was formed in autumn 1994 and is nicknamed "the Czech Blues Brothers". The repertoire includes blues with vocalist Ondřej Konrád and funk and fusion with vocalist Martin Stresk.
Libor Šmoldas Quartet
Libor Šmoldas is a jazz guitarist active on the domestic and international scene and author of 11 albums. The quartet consists of: Libor Šmoldas – guitar; Mikuláš Pokorný – piano; Tomáš Baroš – bass; Jesse Simpson – drums.
Jon Kenzie & Jan Korinek
Jon Kenzie is a singer and songwriter from Manchester who started by playing in the streets and has released four solo albums independently. His music draws from blues, folk and soul. In Černošice he will perform with Jan Korinek on Hammond organ and a brass section.
