Wanko: "...we have always been Brno people..."
Univerzitní kino Scala, Brno
An evening of screening and discussion accompanying an exhibition by artist Andrea Wanko. In her project, she opens her own family history connected to Czech-German heritage, Nazism, and post-war events in Brno — topics that were long silenced in her family.
During the evening, excerpts from a documentary film in preparation will be shown, created as part of a year-long project. A conversation with artist Andrea Wanko and therapist Šárka Weberová will explore family and collective trauma, memory, and how awareness of guilt or pain "in family roots" can affect a person.
The discussion will be moderated by Veronika Smyslová, executive director of the Meeting Brno festival, and Markéta Brhlíková, curator of the exhibition. You can reserve a place for the discussion via the link provided.
