Honza Ponocný and His One Man Show "Circus Ponorka"

Honza Ponocný is bringing his one-man-show Circus Ponorka to Dvůr Králové nad Labem as part of a tour supporting his fourth album "Lost Angeles" (autumn 2024). The project name Circus Ponorka combines the name of his former band Circus Praha (which he founded in the 1990s with American musician Bradley Stratton) and his nickname from the music world. On stage, Honza performs solo: with an acoustic guitar, two microphones, and a collection of loopers, he layers drums, bass, several guitar parts, and multi-part vocals live—creating the sound of an entire band.

The album "Lost Angeles" includes songs from the film Buko and the series Dabing Street (Petr Zelenka), as well as from the films Revival and Perfect Days (Alice Nellis), with whom Honza Ponocný has collaborated extensively. For the music to the films Revival and Mamas & Papas, he received nominations for the Czech Lion award. As a guitarist and producer, he has collaborated with Ivan Král, Meky Žbirka, Václav Koubek, Anna K., and Lenka Filipová, and has contributed to more than 40 albums. The album "Lost Angeles" was released on both CD and vinyl.
