A live podcast performance dedicated to two prominent figures connected to Bystřice pod Hostýnem in the second half of the 19th century – František Sušil and Michael Thonet.
Michal Stehlík and Martin Groman will focus on the 1860s in Moravia: on Sušil, a collector of folk songs whose name remains overshadowed by Němcová and Erben, and on the story of a man who pioneered the manufacture of bent furniture in Bohemia.
The event takes place on the eve of the traditional Sušil happening – a musical pilgrimage to Hostýn. Organized with the support of the City of Bystřice pod Hostýnem and the company Ton.
