GASTROFANS FESTIVAL SVÍČKOVÁ and Other Sauces 2026

The 2nd edition of the Gastrofans Festival of Svíčková and Other Sauces takes place on Sunday, May 24, 2026, from 11:00 to 20:00 on the Great Courtyard of Špilberk Castle in Brno. Festival capacity is limited to 2,500 visitors. The first edition in April 2025 welcomed over 1,000 visitors despite April weather; the second edition comes with an expanded programme and better conditions.
Restaurants from across the Czech Republic will present svíčková in all its varieties as well as other traditional sauces – dill sauce, tomato sauce, and horseradish sauce. Visitors can enjoy tasting portions and participate in a competition for the best svíčková of the festival. Surprises for visitors are also planned.
The musical programme is provided by the bands Ukulele Troublemakers, Kudla from Brno, and Projekt DĚTEM. Admission ranges from 149 CZK to 599 CZK. Children under 6 enter free; children aged 6 to 12 have discounted admission. Tickets are available at smsticket.cz.
