Breezy Rodio, born Fabrizio Rodio, is of Italian origin but has lived in Chicago for more than twenty years, where he became a key figure in the city's blues scene. He plays at the intersection of traditional Chicago blues, modern electric soul, and R&B. His concert programme features a mix of original compositions and reworkings of blues classics – his repertoire spans from the 1940s to the present, with covers connected to B.B. King, T-Bone Walker, Ray Charles, and Elvis Presley.
He began his career in 2007 as a guitarist in Linsey Alexander's band. In 2011 he released his debut album Playing My Game Too with guests Lurrie Bell and Rockin' Johnny. The album So Close to It (2015) reached second place in the Chicago blues category of Roots Music Report. In 2018 he signed with Delmark Records; his album If It Ain't Broke Don't Fix It (2019) ranked in the TOP 50 Blues Albums of the Year in Living Blues magazine. His latest album Underground Blues was recorded in Austin, Texas with Texas blues legend Anson Funderburgh and released on Windchill Records.
