Don't Be Afraid! Don't Be Afraid!

The experiential exhibition "Don't Be Afraid! Don't Be Afraid!" is an interactive exposition about fear for children and adults, open at Sladovna Písek from January 27 to October 18, 2026. The exhibition is inspired by the successful book of the same name by authors Milada Rezková and Lukáš Urbánek and was first held at Atrium Gallery in Prague. It explores the phenomenon of fear in the context of family, home, school, city, and nature, showing that the unknown need not be a threat but an opportunity. Through interactive installations, sound collages, and architectural games, the exhibition transforms fear into a map of experiences. The exhibition is recommended for children aged 5 to 10 and their adult companions. A visit lasts approximately 90 minutes and entry is in time slots with limited capacity – advance online booking is required. Tickets do not need to be printed; a PDF with a QR code on your phone is sufficient at the venue. Basic admission is 120 CZK for both children and adults; children under 3 and persons with disabilities have free entry. Sladovna Písek is located at Velké náměstí 113 and is open daily except Mondays from 9 to 17 o'clock. The gallery entrance is via a passage from Velké náměstí – not from the river. Parking is available at the Na Výstavišti car park, from which Sladovna is visible across the Otava; cross the river via Kamenný Most and continue to the square.
