Palma, L'homme Approximatif

A double concert featuring Palma and Star Club West (BE) at Kaštan – Scéna Unijazzu in Prague 6. Palma is a musician and visual artist known for her work in the electronic-guitar project Leto. In 2019, she released her debut solo album Starý duch – an alternative record built on synthesizers and electronics with introspective Czech lyrics. For this concert, she brings her current album Těleso with her band, which was also released on vinyl. Star Club West is an unassuming band from Antwerp led by guitarist and vocalist Nico Jacobs; since 1999 they have gathered every Tuesday for rehearsals and quietly released excellent records – in 2020 alone, three at once. Their sound distantly recalls Built To Spill, Yo La Tengo, Pinback, or Tortoise, though live they deliver significantly more noise. They have played in the Czech Republic twice before.
