Exhibition by M. Vasickova in the Dolní Kounice Synagogue

The town of Dolní Kounice invites you to an exhibition titled "Between the Tones" in the Dolní Kounice Synagogue, which combines jazz and inclusive art. The opening reception takes place on April 3, 2026 at 4:00 p.m. in the synagogue. The exhibition runs until May 25, 2026. The closing event includes an opening reception and concert by students of the music school on May 26, 2026 at 5:00 p.m. in the synagogue.

The Dolní Kounice Synagogue, built in 1652–1655 in early Baroque style, is among the oldest synagogues in Moravia. The interior walls are decorated with valuable Baroque frescoes featuring liturgical texts in Hebrew, and there is also a small exhibition dedicated to the history of the local Jewish community. The synagogue is open from April through the end of October on Fridays from 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m., and on Saturdays, Sundays, and public holidays from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. During cultural events, access may be partially or completely restricted.
