Laco Deczi & New York Celula

Legendary trumpeter Laco Deczi, who has lived in the USA for many years, returns to the Czech Republic — the Prague Jazz Dock is one of the stops on his tour.

Since entering the professional scene over fifty years ago, he has championed explosive hard bop inspired by Clifford Brown, despite the West Coast jazz that dominated at the time. He later merged this style with Miles Davis's electric jazz-rock fusion, in whose spirit his music continues to evolve today.
