Circus Ponorka

Circus Ponorka is a captivating one-man-show by guitarist, singer, and film composer Honza Ponocný. Using his guitar, microphones, and loopers, he records loops in real time directly on stage, building the sound of an entire band — complete with drums, bass, multiple guitar parts, and vocal harmonies. At his concerts, he performs songs from acclaimed films such as Revival, Perfect Days, Buko, and the TV series Dabing Street. Audiences typically hold their breath in the first minute and only fully exhale after the final encore. Circus Ponorka is arguably a unique project on a global scale. Ponocný combines melodic compositions with technical virtuosity, and his "dance on guitar pedals" is a spectacle in itself.
