The Prague City Gallery presents a long-term exhibition František Bílek in Chýnov at Bílek's house in Chýnov (Údolní 133, 391 55 Chýnov u Tábora), running from 3 April to 1 November 2026. The exhibition is curated by Martin Krummholz. The show focuses on the artist's works with Hussite themes and reliefs from the second half of his creative period. The exhibition includes two designs for unrealised monuments – a 1:10 scale model of the National Monument on White Mountain (1908) and a design for a monument to Jan Žižka for Prague's Vítkov (1913). Other exhibits highlight the sculptor's friendships with poets Julius Zeyer and Otakar Březina and his collaboration with Chýnov potters. The lived-in interiors are complemented by furniture designed by Bílek. The house was built in 1898 according to the artist's own designs and has been managed by the Prague City Gallery since 1990. The building is not wheelchair accessible. A free audio guide to František Bílek's birthplace and the Chýnov cemetery with his works is available in Czech and English. Bílek is buried in the Chýnov cemetery beneath his monumental five-metre sculpture Prayer Among the Graves (1905); the cemetery also features six other Bílek tombstones from 1902–1908. Visitors can play an outdoor discovery game Hidden Stories: Bílek's Vision. In winter, visits are possible only by prior telephone arrangement at +420 775 204 388. Open Tue–Sun 10 am–12 pm, 1–5 pm.
