From My Window to Yours

The exhibition "From My Window to Yours" presents paintings by Eliška Matoušová and ceramics by Michaela Nejedlá, running from April 25 to June 1, 2026 at Gallery M on Masaryk Square 17 in Pelhřimov. Eliška Matoušová is a painter from the Vysočina region dedicated to free painting – her expressive medium is the painting palette knife and oil paints, focusing on urban scenes and natural landscapes from Vysočina. Michaela Nejedlá (Ceramics at the Sundial) graduated from the Bechyně Ceramic Secondary School in 2002 and has since devoted herself to creating hand-thrown garden and decorative ceramic works. Both artists share a sensitivity to material and colour as well as inspiration from the Vysočina landscape – expressive paintings contrast with delicately textured ceramics inspired by nature. Gallery M is an exhibition space of the city of Pelhřimov, hosting contemporary visual art exhibitions in monthly cycles; the exhibitions are predominantly for sale, offering the opportunity to purchase artworks. The gallery is located in a historic townhouse built under the influence of Italian Renaissance architecture and decorated with sgraffito; the passageway preserves the coats of arms of two noble owners from the 16th century. The Museum of Ghosts is also housed in the same building. Admission: adults 15 CZK, children and seniors 10 CZK.
