Wooden Theatre of Jan Hrubec – Aladdin's Magic Lamp

A professional puppet show by the Wooden Theatre of Jan Hrubec will transport audiences into the atmosphere of ancient Orient. Together with Aladdin, we will venture to the mysterious Mount Qaf in search of the magic lamp – the hero will have to prove his perseverance and courage more than once before the magical Genie helps good triumph. The performance will delight the eye with the beauty of intricately carved puppets and the ear with the richness of language, all accompanied by stylish Arabian music. Jan Hrubec is a graduate of DAMU (Faculty of Alternative and Puppet Theatre), and before founding his own Wooden Theatre, he worked at Studio Ypsilon, Theatre Minor, the Lampion in Kladno, and the Naïve Theatre in Liberec. The performance lasts approximately 45 minutes and is recommended for children from age 3. The U Jelena Theatre in Bystřice is equipped for both puppet and dramatic productions and features excellent acoustics.
