Festival Mystery of Life
Bechyně, Tábor
Festival Mystery of Life is a spiritually-oriented four-day festival held at the private Cihelna Radětice resort near Bechyně in South Bohemia. Capacity is limited to 200 participants, creating a friendly, almost holiday-like atmosphere.
The programme runs from Thursday at 3 p.m. to Sunday at 3 p.m. Each day begins with morning exercise at 8 a.m. and ends at 11 p.m. Lectures and musical performances take place on the main stage, while workshops for smaller groups (max. 30 people) are held in a covered space. Each performer has 1–2 hours on stage, and most are present throughout the festival. The programme also includes dance, rituals, yoga, massages, Chinese acupuncture, relaxation in three large pyramids, and experiments with pharaonic power rods, Egyptian sisters, healing ankh, and flow disc. Evening gatherings around a fire are held.
The resort offers accommodation in 24 cottages for 4 people and 3 cottages for up to 8 people; you can also camp in your own tent directly in the grounds or sleep in your car in a designated parking area. Bedding is not included in accommodation prices – it can be arranged for 150 CZK. Vegetarian and traditional meals are available in the resort restaurant; full board can be ordered at a 20% discount. A swimming pool is available. From Prague, you can reach the location by car in less than two hours heading south; on foot from Bechyně railway station along the blue hiking trail and then 400 m along the road towards Radětice. Nearby you can visit nature along the Lužnice River and the nearby castle.
