Summer Day Camp with Bajdyš Ensemble: The Story of Bread

A summer day camp for children organized by Šmeralův statek – Centre for Traditional Folk Culture in Třebíč. The camp theme is the story of bread, which the Bajdyš folk ensemble will bring to life for the children. The Bajdyš ensemble, active in the region since 1984, specializes in dances from the Horácko region and features a rich repertoire of choreographed programmes based on folk customs and crafts. Šmeralův statek offers educational programmes focused on folk traditions and crafts in the setting of a historic farmstead, which was opened to the public after renovation in 2019. Its mission is to introduce the public to the rich folk traditions and culture of the Czech-Austrian borderland through educational programmes, art workshops, craft fairs, and folk cuisine workshops.
