The Náplavkőőő gastronomic and cultural festival is organized by the Liszt Institute – Hungarian Cultural Centre in Prague on the Rašín Embankment. The festival runs from Friday to Sunday and features nearly 40 stalls offering hot and cold Hungarian delicacies, spices, wine, and spirits. Only holders of the Hungarikum brand participate, guaranteeing the authenticity of all products and experiences. Entry to the festival is free – you pay only for purchases at individual stalls. Beyond gastronomy, the festival showcases Hungary's most attractive tourist destinations, including Budapest, Lake Balaton, and the renowned Hungarian thermal baths. A rich musical programme includes folk music, jazz, and other genres performed by Hungarian musicians and singers, with demonstrations and lessons in Hungarian folk dancing. The festival is traditionally patronized by the Hungarian Embassy in Prague and the Mayor of Prague 2.
