A7 Talentinum is the seventh concert of the A subscription series of the Bohuslav Martinů Philharmonic, held as part of the 28th edition of the international Talentinum festival. The festival, whose first edition took place on May 4, 1972 in the then-named Gottwaldov, is a non-competitive showcase with international participation for soloists under 25 and conductors under 30. It offers young musicians the opportunity to perform alongside a professional orchestra, gain stage experience, and present their interpretative potential. The festival regularly hosts talents not only from Europe but also from overseas – from Brazil, Japan, South Korea, Canada, and the USA. Over more than half a century of its existence, it has welcomed numerous personalities of the world music scene, from pianists Igor Ardashev and Ivo Kahán through hornist Radek Baborák and violinist Václav Hudeček to conductors Jakub Hrůša and Tomáš Netopil. At the concert on May 21, 2026, conductor David Švec will take the baton (a change from the originally announced conductor). Tickets are available at the box office of the Bohuslav Martinů Philharmonic (Mon–Thu 10–18, Fri 10–16, tel. 577 005 742).
