Summer Art Workshops in the Eco-Studio in the Orangery of Troja Castle
GHMP Zámek Troja, Prague
The Education Department of the Prague City Gallery annually organizes summer art workshops in the Eco-Studio located in the historic orangery of Troja Castle's garden. In 2026, the workshops are open daily throughout July and August during castle opening hours (Tue–Thu 10–18, Fri 13–18, Sat–Sun 10–18). Visitors can try various art techniques and create works from natural materials gathered directly from the castle garden. The 2026 programme is thematically linked to the exhibition "Labyrinth: Wandering Within". The programme includes tactile activities for blind and visually impaired visitors. The workshops are designed for families with children, adults, seniors, and international visitors – it is an intergenerational and inclusive programme. Activities take place without the need for advance booking. Tickets to the Eco-Studio can be purchased at the Troja Castle ticket office; entry is free with a valid exhibition ticket to the castle, for holders of GHMP Member/Member Plus/Patron cards, and for Ukrainian citizens. The workshops are led by qualified in-house educators and external GHMP lecturers. The creative space in the orangery also serves as a shelter in adverse weather.
