Evelína Tůma – When I Create...

The St. Francis of Assisi Monastery in Votice (Klášterní 1, Votice) hosts an exhibition of paintings by Evelína Tůma titled "When I Create..." from April 20, 2026. The opening reception took place on April 18, 2026. The artist has been engaged in visual art since childhood. The monastery, owned by the city of Votice since 2012, underwent extensive renovation (begun in 2014, completed in 2019) and now serves as a cultural center with exhibition spaces, a local history museum, the St. Francis Gallery, and permanent displays. In addition to Evelína Tůma's seasonal exhibition, the monastery features permanent exhibitions including "Life of the Franciscans," "Collectivization in the Votice Region," a display of historical carriages and dolls, and paintings by artist Vladislav Kasky.
